Fall is here! Yesterday definitely felt like fall so it was appropriate to go to Irvine Park for Gina and Joel's engagement shoot. The leaves were falling and the pumpkin patch was set up (although it wasn't open and we got yelled for being in it!). This was my first time meeting Gina and Joel. They were referred to me by the amazing ladies at Fete Inc. (If you need a coordinator check out their site!). I knew from the first email exchaged with Gina that we would get along great. They are both so fun and they brought along their little dog! Anyone who puts their dog in their wedding has to be cool! I'm really looking forward to their wedding on October 7th. They are starting out in with a cocktail hour in their cocktail hour attire where they will actually get to enjoy it with their guests. Then they are changing into their ceremony attire for the ceremony by candlelight. It's going to be a lot of fun and I can't wait to take the pictures! But for now enjoy your engagement session slideshow!

Baby Joey was born on August 22, 2006. You may remember his parents, Jen and Joey, from their maternity session in July. Joey, or Seppi as I like to call him, is the sweetest baby. We kept him up during his nap and he was hungry, but despite all of that he did a great job for his first photoshoot. We got lots of fun expressions that show his true personality! I'm so excited to see him grow up and be a great soccer player just like his mommy! Here's your slideshow Seppi!

And here's a picture of Baby Joey and I. I really don't know how to hold little, little babies. It was kind of scary!!!

PS The slideshow song is Return to Pooh Corner by Kenny Loggins. I was able to hear him sing this song live when I shot the Blue 42 event at the St. Regis a few months ago. Go here and scroll halfway down to see some pictures!

Usually the only time I go up to Pasadena is for UCLA games at the Rose Bowl, but yesterday we headed up there for Kari and Shane's wedding. Kari's dress and flowers were absolutely stunning. When Kari and I first met she said she decided to book me because my business colors were the same as her wedding colors. I think that's a good reason :) Kari and Shane were married at the same church as her parents were. How awesome is that? After the ceremony we all headed up to the Alta Dena Country Club where we got some great pictures. It was an amazing night and I thank Kari and Shane for letting me be a part of it. Have a great honeymoon!

This weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Wedding Photography Workshop at the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara. The workshop was held by David Jay, who is an incredibly talented photographer. The weekend was above and beyond my expectations. I learned more there in 2 days then I have the past year on my own. I'm so excited because I feel like my photography is now going to move to the next level. I've learned better workflow techniques so I may also have some free time once again!!! Yeah! I can't wait for this weekends wedding with Kari and Shane to try all my new techniques out. I have 4 weddings in the next 5 weeks! Wow! It's going to be busy, but so worth it!

We did a night shoot for the Brooks workshop. Below are my favorite pictures! Thanks to Jasmine and JD for being such great models. Aren't they incredibly photogenic?

And here's a picture of our class I stole from DJ's blog. Hope he doesn't mind!

Last night I got to do something that I have been waiting for a long time to do. My good friends Christy and Bobby finally got engaged in July so we got to do their engagement session. Yeah! Christy was my very first UCLA friend and she met Bobby while shopping at the Brea Active. It's been awesome seeing their relationship progress and being a part of it. Christy and Bobby, thank you for being such amazing and supportive friends. I can't wait for the wedding!!! Here's your show!

Tonight I headed to my favorite beach to shoot a family session with the Lindstedt's. Jack just turned 1 and he is absolutely adorable! He couldn't decide if he loved or hated my camera. We got some great shots thanks to Grandma and Grandpa singing the ABC's and the Elmo song. It was great having so much help! Enjoy the slideshow!

I'm really sad summer is almost over. Where am I going to do all of my shoots? On Thursday night we went to Laguna for a quick shoot with the Vega brothers for their Christmas card. I didn't expect three boys to behave as well as they did! I thought it was the older two that I would have to worry about, but it was the little, quiet one Anthony who tried to cause trouble! He tried to pinch his brothers backs from behind and he accidentally "fell" in the water :) But really, they were all great and made my job really easy. Here's their slideshow!
