It's a...

BOY! We're having a little boy! We found out about a week and a half ago, but things have been so crazy I haven't had time to blog about it. It's fun to know that the little thing that's been kicking me is not an "it" anymore. We have a name that we like, but if you have any suggestions let me know. I like Bruin, but I don't think it will fly. I really like B names with Bittel. Bruin Bittel. Doesn't that sound good? And there would be no way he could go to USC with a name like that :) Here's my favorite ultrasound pictures. You can see his little profile and his hand. Looks like he has my nose :)

I'm 21 weeks pregnant today and things are going pretty well. I finally got a break from my backaches yesterday and I hope it continues! My wedding season is done in early November so it will be nice to have a little break. Only 4 more weddings left for the year! I'm looking forward to all of the weddings I have left. Especially Rita and Scott's wedding in Puerto Vallarta at the end of October!

The baby got to go to his very first UCLA football game last weekend. He was so excited when we got there he was kicking me SO hard. Even Aunt Christy got to feel him. But I don't think he liked it when we got into the stadium and I started yelling. I tried not to curse... too much. We had an awesome tailgate and all of our best friends were able to make it. Kyle came from Pheonix with his new fiancee (yeah!!!), Johanna. They got engaged over Labor Day weekend in Hawaii and we're so excited for them. I can't wait to do their engagement pictures! Joey brought his girlfriend, Michelle, and Steve and Christy came too. It was so much fun. I wish they could all be there for every tailgate.

Christy always begs to be on my blog. She got mad when we went to San Francisco and I didn't blog about it (because I didn't take any pictures). So,here you go Christy. Are you happy now??? :) Christy's brother got us awesome seats on the 45 yard line. It was COLD, but we had a blanket to snuggle up with.

This would have been a really cute picture of Christy and I, but Chuck decided to ruin it. Look for the eyeball right in between Christy and I.

Check back next week for pictures from Christina and Corey's big, fat, Armenian wedding. I'm really looking forward to shooting it tomorrow! Have a great weekend everyone!

It's the little things...

I live right behind Downtown Brea, which is a really cute little promenade with movie theaters, restaurants, ans shops. A few months ago Chuck's favorite Chinese place, The Dragon Bowl, closed down unexpectedly. The cutest little Chinese man worked there 7 days a week and even on Christmas so we were sad to see him go. But, today, Chuck and I were walking Hauggy and we saw that they are opening a Robeks where The Dragon Bowl used to be. Woohoo! Robeks is a smoothie place and it's SO much better than Jamba and Juice It Up! I used to get it all the time when I worked at MTV, but there's only 3 locations in Orange County and the closest location is 20 minutes away. I'm SO excited that there will be one within walking distance. Sometimes it's just the little things that make me so happy!

Mr. & Mrs. Brookman

I've been looking forward to Brigid and Dave's wedding since we shot their engagement session earlier this year. It was one of my favorite sessions so I knew their wedding was going to be awesome! Brigid and Dave were married at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Laguna Beach. While the coast was socked in with fog, the church was up high on a hill so we got beautiful blue skies up there.

Brigid was such a happy bride and was so much fun to photograph.

I love this shot of Brigid's dad seeing his daughter in her dress for the first time.

St. Catherine has beautiful grounds to shoot at. We only had a few minutes there, but I love the shots we got.

We then headed down to the beach, which was still very foggy. You might recognize some of these guys from Brandon and Lindsey's wedding in July.

We shot right next to the Laguna Beach Lawn Bowling Club so we got some pictures in there. I didn't even know that there was a Laguna Beach Lawn Bowling Club :)

Their reception was held at El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel. They had the best toasts I've ever heard. All 4 of them were both funny and emotional. And they also had great dances as well.

I hope Mr. and Mrs. Brockman :) had an amazing time in Jamaica! Thank you and your family and friends for being so much fun to work with! Here's the slideshow!

Rita & Scott (& Thai)

Rita and Scott are getting married next month in Puerto Vallarta! I'm so excited for their big Mexican fiesta! We shot their engagement session at the Balboa Fun Zone and the Balboa pier. They brought along their very cute puppy Thai. Since Thai won't be able to make it to the wedding we incorporated him in some of the shots. He's not a huge fan of the camera, but when you give him some waffle cone he'll do anything!

Rita and Scott, thanks for taking time out of your very busy schedules to do your engagement shoot with me. Chuck and I can't wait for your wedding in Mexico! Here's the slideshow!

Mr. & Mrs. Sanchez

Besides being one of the most gorgeous couples I've ever shot, Traci and Kevin are also one of the nicest couples I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They are both the type of people that worry about everyone else first. They are such awesome people to work with! Traci and Kevin were married at Kevin's parents home in Upland. The weather totally cooperated and stayed in the low 80's unlike the week before with temperatures in the 110's! This wedding was absolutely gorgeous and no details were overlooked. Bridget Karsten did an amazing job coordinating the event. The flowers by Jackie Girard Designs were gorgeous! And the food by Jean Hamilton Catering was so good and their staff were great! But my favorite vendor of the day was Traci and Kevin's officiant / cousin Monica Nash. She did such an awesome job with the ceremony and it's always very touching to see a couple get married by someone who cares so much about them.

Traci and Kevin, I hope you had an amazing time in Maui (my most favorite place in the world!). Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your very special day! Here's the slideshow!

On the phone with Kevin

Kevin's son Steele is the cutest! I love him watcing his Dad getting ready.

The gorgeous ceremony!

Traci and Kevin had a hand fastening ceremony, the did a sand ceremony with Steele, and they gave him a bracelet. They had a very sweet ceremony!

I love it when dogs are incorporated into weddings. They are a part of the family too!

These next few shots were all taken on a freeway overpass

Warning to my brides and grooms. When I ask for your rings during the reception I usually do weird stuff like put your rings in a glass of champagne ;)
