Mr. & Mrs. Rosenthal

Lindsey and Brandon were married up at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. It's an absolutely gorgeous venue in the hills of Malibu with lots of great places for pictures. The day started out hot and sunny and during the ceremony something happend that hasn't happend in a long time in Southern California. It rained! Well, it didn't actually rain. It just sprinkled, but it totally caught everyone by surprise. But, you know what they say. Rain on your wedding day is good luck!

Lindsey and Brandon's wedding was not only gorgeous, but it was a lot of fun. Lindsey is from Tennessee and Andy from Disc Go Round did an awesome job playing lots of country and southern music. It wasn't the type of music or dancing your normally hear at California weddings!

Lindsey and Brandon, I hope you two are having an amazing time in Tahiti! Thanks for letting me be a part of your wedding day! Here's your slideshow!

Thanks so much to my good friend Joey for the referral!

As well as Brigid and Dave whose wedding I will be shooting in just 5 short weeks!!!

Mr. & Mrs. Wang

I shot another awesome wedding at the Orange County Museum of Art on July 21st. This time it was for Mariam and Frank's wedding. I loved working with the two of them. They are such genuinely kind people! They sent me this email a couple of days after their wedding and it just made my day:

Hi Drew!

We can't express to you how awesome we think you and your helpers all were
on Saturday. You caught us up on time, were so accomidating to all of the
crazy circumstances, were super nice to our guests, and set up the coolest
slideshow during our reception! We will definitely highly recommend you to
all of our friends and family as the best photographer around - dependable,
sweet, and incredibly talented and artistic. :) Thanks Drew!

I love my clients!

Mariam and Frank have such a beautiful love story. Their families have been friends since the two were kids and their families immigrated to the US. Mariam tricked Frank into going on their first date. Too cute!

I had such a great time working with Mariam and Frank as well as their friends and family! Have an awesome honeymoon in Europe! Here are some of my favorite pictures and a slideshow!

I love, love, love this picture. I don't know why, but I think it's one of my most favorite pictures I've ever taken.

Check out those red shoes!!! More pictures of them later!

I love the first look!

I love this shot too! Love, love, love the shoes!

After the ceremony Mariam changed into her traditional red dress. Gorgeous!

I dont know the technical name for this game, but I'll just call it the slappy hands game. Mariam and Frank played it when they were kids.

Hello??? Sprinkles! My favorite!

Mr. & Mrs. Gonzales

I've been looking forward to Lauren and Doug's wedding and I wasn't disappointed. Lauren and Doug decided to see each other before the ceremony. I love it when couples do this because it allows for a lot more time for pictures! After Lauren got ready at her parents house we headed over to Pitcher Park in Orange for the "first look". I love capturing the first look when couples do see each other first because it's always filled with emotion.

Then we headed down to the Orange Circle where we got some fun pictures of the two of them.

The ceremony was held at St. Norbert's Church in Orange, which is the church Lauren grew up in.

The great thing about getting all the pictures done before the ceremony is that you can go straight to the party after with no interruptions! They actually got to enjoy the cocktail hour with their family and friends. And it gave me some extra time to do some fun things, like ring shots! Lucky Lauren got 2 wedding bands! No fair!

Lauren and Doug held their reception at The Orange County Museum of Art, which is an AMAZING venue! I was blown away when I saw how gorgeous their reception was. The lighting was awesome. They had a slideshow playing the whole time on one of the walls. They didn't have a formal sit down dinner, which I loved as well. Also, they didn't have any floral centerpieces. It was all candles and was so beautiful. Their planners, Penny and Cassidy McAllister, did an amazing job with all the little details (they don't have a business name or website yet, but you can contact Cassidy at cassidymcallister@yahoo.com if you're interested in their services). And I know it looked as gorgeous as it did because Lauren pays meticulous attention to all the little details as well. They did a great job making this stark space look beautiful!

Lauren and Doug had the best toasts I've ever heard. Lauren's good friend and bridesmaid Lisa read the same toast that Lauren read at her wedding and it was so touching.

And then Lauren's brothers read one of the funniest speeches / roasts. They made SO much fun of Doug (aka Dirk). It was hilarious!

It was an absolutely gorgeous wedding an I thank Lauren and Doug for letting me be a part of it! Have fun on your honeymoon in Mexico in August! Here's the slideshow!
