I almost bought this yesterday...

The new imacs are BEAUTIFUL! And I really want a desktop. My laptop has taken a beating over the past year. But why do they only come in the glossy screen??? The glare is horrible and photographers can't use them. Pictures look gorgeous on the screen, but the colors aren't true because they are a pain to calibrate. So sad. I hope they come out with a matte screen VERY soon.

Just wanted to let everyone know that right after I shoot Nicole and Mike's wedding tomorrow I am on vaca! Woohoo! I'm going to Maine for 5 wonderful days of relaxing and sailing and then we'll be going to New York City for 2 days. Don't worry, it won't be all vacation. I do have a super fun shoot scheduled in there (did you really think I could go a whole week without working???). I should have email access, but not too sure about the phone while I'm in Maine. Have a great week and wonderful Labor Day everyone!

Natalie & Scott

I love shooting at Downtown Fullerton. Not only is it super close to my house, but there are a million cool places to shoot there. Every time I go there I find somewhere new and cool.

That's where I met up with Natalie and Scott yesterday for their engagement pictures. They are getting married next May at the Villa de Amore (one of my favorite venues!). These two were so much fun! Natalie told me that they were going to need a lot of help at the beginning of the session, but I swear, they were pros! They have so much chemistry together and I love the way it translated on camera. I'm very excited for their wedding! If their engagement session was this much fun I can't imagine how much fun their wedding is going to be :) Here are a few of my favorite pictures. Here's the slideshow!

Mr. & Mrs. Grinewich

I love shooting weddings where none of the little details are overlooked. And that's exactly how Shannon and Matt's wedding was. They were married at Los Verdes Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes. From the double decker buses that shuttled the guests to the grand exit with the sparklers and vintage 1964 Rolls Royce, every little detail was perfect! Alyssa with Alyssa's Flowers did an amazing job as always. I love her flower balls!

Shannon and Matt are perfect together. Matt didn't leave Shannon's side all evening. He even flew half way across the country just to ask Shannon's parents for her hand in marriage. What a guy!

I also have to say that Shannon had the best bridesmaids I've ever worked with! They were so much fun, but totally paid attention and helped when we got tight on time. And they like to do push ups in their dresses. How funny is that?

Shannon and Matt, we had such an awesome time at your wedding! I hope you have a great time on your honeymoon! Here's the slideshow!

Tag, I'm It!

So, this morning as I checked all my favorite blogs I found that I had been tagged by both Sandra Salisbury and Jasmine*. I guess now I have to reveal 8 juicy details about myself and tag 8 other bloggers to do the same. Let's see...

1) I'm Pregnant! Yep, I've alluded to it a couple of times on my blog, but here's the official blog announcement. I'm 15 weeks pregnant today and am due at the beginning of February. We find out exactly a month from today what we are having!

2) I hate sleeping in hotel beds. I have to wear socks on my feet (and sometimes on my hands). It doesn't matter if I'm at the Holiday Inn or the Ritz, hotel beds are yucky!!!

3) I like to rescue animals on days starting with "S". Helpless animals always find me and I can't just leave them. It's actually how I found my little guy, Hauggy. I found a pug running across a busy street and took him to the animal shelter. The next day I went back to check up on the pug and my little guy was there and I fell in love at first sight.

4) Speaking of Hauggy. He's named after my most favorite thing in the world. Haggen Dazs ice cream! I LOVE it! I always get a chocolate milk shake. Yummy!

5) I'm a poultitarian. I only eat chicken and turkey. I stopped eating pork about 3 years ago when I was in Mexico working for MTV. I saw a truck full of pigs and they were so cute I knew I couldn't eat them anymore. I stopped eating beef a year ago after seeing some cute cows in Hawaii. Not eating beef has actually been really hard for me because I love hamburgers and tacos! But, good thing In N Out makes good grilled cheese sandwiches that curb my cravings for hamburgers. I would totally be a vegetarian, but seeing how I don't like vegetables I think that might be hard.

6) I still love Britney Spears. Yes, she's a little WT and crazy. But, give the girl a break! I will always remember the time I met her at the Crossroads premiere when I was an intern at VH1. I don't care what you say, Mom! I will never move on!

7) I'm an awesome bowler. I have my own ball and shoes and I'll beat anyone. I'm an even better bowler on Wii.

8) I have a weird fascination with the country Luxembourg. I don't know why, but I think it's a cool country. I've never been there, but someday I'll go!

I'm going to tag:

Trista Lerit- Because I love her!
Michelle Greene- Because she's my BFFN :)
Kristina Marie- Because I love to hear what she has to say.
The Bengard Family- Because they have the cutest little boy.
Coz Swifka- Because she's an awesome photographer.
Amy Squires- Because not only is she an amazing photographer, but she's also a great person who has been very supportive of me and I really appreciate that!
Jessica Strikland- Because even though she has no idea who I am I think she is an AMAZING photographer and I love to stalk her blog!
Greg Bumatay- Because he's a great photographer and an awesome guy!

Have a great day everyone! I'm off to shoot a wedding in Palos Verdes!

Mr. & Mrs. Clifford

Zsanett and Ryan are celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary! They have a super sweet love story. Zsanett moved to the US from Hungary 7 years ago. After spending a year in Boston where she attended Harvard (smart girl!) she made her way to Orange County. As she started her first day of work at a Greek restaurant in Laguna she parked her car in a parking garage where Ryan was working as a valet. At first, Zsanett didn't really like Ryan, but that same night he serenaded her with his guitar. And just 3 short months later they were married! How cute!

I had a lot of fun with the two of them walking around downtown Laguna and even going to the parking garage where they first met. Zsanett is an aspiring photographer so it means a lot that out of all the amazing photographers in Orange County she choose me to take their anniversary pictures! Here are some of my favorites. Here's the slideshow!

PS Note for photographers- I bought the Canon 85 1.8 that EVERYONE has been raving about. I shot this whole session with it and LOVE it! It's my new favorite lens!

It's Football Season!

No, not the NFL. College football! It's my most favorite time of year. All of you that know me know how much I LOVE my UCLA Bruins. So, yesterday Chuck and I went up to Westwood for an afternoon of Diddy Reese, reminiscing on campus, and to watch our Bruins practice. We met up with our friend Christy who works on campus as an advisor for the communications department. Her awesome boss Jane made us a yummy cake! I think it was to make up for the fact that when I was an undergrad there she didn't let me into the communications department :) It's extremely competitive to get into the communications department at UCLA. I ended up being a Sociology major, which was great because there were less classes to take :)

Then we headed down to Spaulding Field to watch practice. Open practice is so awesome because you are just feet away from the team and there were only about 30 people there watching. The other great thing about open practice is being SO close to Coach Dorrell (Coach Karl as I like to call him). I heart Coach Karl! So, when practice was over Christy and Chuck made me wait for Coach Karl. Chuck asked if we could take a picture with him and then proceeded to tell him that I was in love with him. Not that I loved him, but that I was "in" love with him! How embarrassing (but totally cool at the same time)! Chuck also pointed to my stomach and introduced Coach Karl to the newest Bruin fan and he congratulated us. I also got to thank him for beating 'SC last year. He was totally cool and such a nice guy! I'm sure we totally embarrassed him, but I can't help it if I love him! Besides meeting Britney Spears and UCLA beating 'SC last year I think this might have been the best day of my life! Here's the picture of the three of us. Thanks so much to Christy for taking it for us!
