The Geigers and I headed down to Laguna Beach for their family shoot. Both of the girls were in great moods and we had the beach all to ourselves so we were able to get some great pictures. Their oldest daughters name is Andrea, but she goes by her middle name, Sophia. It's funny because my real name is Andrea as well, and no one calls me that. We both don't like that no one can pronounce it correctly!

The Geigers were a lot of fun! It was a great way to spend my Sunday afternoon! Here's your slideshow!

I had an awesome shoot last night with the Imus family. Jennifer and Ron have two beautiful daughters. The oldest, Sydney, was a pro in front of the camera. But little Kendall hated the sand, which is a problem when you're shooting at the beach :) A couple of fruit snacks later and Kendall forgot how much she hated the sand!

I will hopefully be doing a home shoot with the Imus girls. Sometimes young kids can get overwhelmed at the beach or the park and it's best to do a shoot at their home. This way the kids are in their own environment and can play with their toys and do what they do best, be a kid. I highly reccommend it for parents who want really photojournalistic images of their kids.

Thanks again to the Imus family! I look forward to working with you again in the future! Here's your slideshow!

To say Alix and Jeff don't like getting their pictures taken is an understatement. Alix and Jeff hate getting their pictures taken. But I really hope that after they see how good they look in these pictures they will like it a little better :) Couples like to get engagement pictures taken because it's pretty much the only time that you'll ever have pictures of just the two of you being you. But I like to do engagement pictures because it helps me find out what the couple is and isn't comfortable with. It helps me get to know the couple while, at the same time, the couple can get use to being in front of the camera. This helps to make everyone more comfortable on the wedding day.

We took Alix and Jeff's engagement pictures at Irvine Park, which is a great place for pictures. I was very popular at the park yesterday. I ran into the Kims and the Greenes! It's always great to see both of them!

Alix and Jeff are getting married in January at Tortilla Flats in Mission Viejo. Alix and Jeff are both gorgeous and they are going to be a stunning bride and groom. I can't wait! Here's your slideshow!

I had my first destination wedding on Saturday. Well, if you count San Diego as a destination wedding...

I headed down to San Diego to shoot Sarah and Josh's wedding at the L'Auberge hotel. As soon as I walked into the bridal suite I knew this was going to be a great wedding. Sarah has an infectious laugh and smile. And Sarah and all of her bridesmaids are gorgeous! The boys weren't too bad either ;) I actually went to high school with one of Sarah's bridesmaids Sean. We were cheerleaders together. It's such a small world!

L'Auberge and Sea Grove Park are awesome venues. When I spoke to Sarah about her wedding she said that she always dreamed of getting married there and I can see why. We had another perfect, sunny southern California day. The wedding was planned by Fete Inc. who did another amazing job. I always love working with Wanda. The day always runs so smoothly. The flowers were done by Alyssa Burke(I can't find her website, but I'll update once I find it). They were probably the most gorgeous flowers I've ever seen. And I loved the flower balls. The DJ was Andy Hagenah from Disc Go Round DJ also did an awesome job! And my friend Melissa came and shot with me. It's always fun to shoot with her!

Sarah and Josh were a great couple to work with. Totally laid back. Sarah wanted pictures down on the beach and I had to warn her that her dress was going to get dirty. She said, "That's what it's for. It's meant to get dirty." That's the type of attitude I love and I think we got some great pictures because of it!

Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your special day! You two are great together and I wish you all the best! Here's your slideshow!

Yesterday was my birthday. The big 2-6. I wasn't very excited about turning 26. 25 was a pretty good year. But after all is said and done I had a very good day yesterday. It all started out at 7:30 when we got ding dong ditched and this was left on my doorstep:

This is my teddy bear, Grayson. He was married to my other teddy bear, Teddy. Apparently Grayson missed me and wanted to wish me a happy birthday and drop off some birthday hot chocolate. I'm pretty sure my dad was behind this and if anyone wants to know where I get my dorkiness from, it's my dad :)

Then my husband Chuck showed up at my office with these:

Isn't he sweet? He knows how much I love cupcakes. He got the cupcakes from Sweet Divas, but frosted them himself.

Then I get home and there's this cool fruit basket from my good friends the Greenes! I love these fruit baskets! It was the perfect healthy snack after the cupcakes!

Later that night Chuck surprised me with dinner at the Napa Rose at the Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland. And I was super excited because he got me the new Canon SD900 Powershot camera. I had been wanting a new point and shoot for the last year! I've been spending all my money on my big cameras, which I love, but they just aren't very practical for everyday shooting. This little camera does so much and I love it! Here are some pictures of us at dinner.

After dinner Chuck was going to take me to Disneyland so we could get annual passes. I was a little bummed because I wanted to go with our friends the Greenes to see the Christmas decorations. They have two little kids and it's always so much fun to go to Disneyland with them. We walked around Downtown Disney for a while and Chuck kept getting phone calls so I knew something was up. I took his phone away from him to see who was calling and it was the Greenes! They surprsied me (well, tried to surprise me) with a happy birthday sign (and Owen drew a dead buffalo on it as well). I was SO excited!

The best thing about going to Disneyland on your birthday is that they give you a button so everyone knows it's your birthday! Everyone wishes you a happy birthday as you walk around the park. I think I'm just going to wear it everytime I go to Disneyland from now on.

We went on a couple of rides and Owen even went on Splash Mountain with us. I didn't go on Splash Mountain until I was like 10. He even sat in the very front. He's a brave little kid. I held onto him for dear life because I was afraid he was going to fall out! We got a little wet...

Thanks to everyone for making my birthday special and thanks to the Greenes for surprising me and to Chuck for planning all of it! You guys are the best!

I'm heading down to San Diego for Sarah and Josh's wedding. It's going to be a long day, but I'm really excited!!!
